Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Indian Expatriate Accountant to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and general accounting operations in Nigeria.
The ideal candidate should have strong accounting expertise, preferably within a manufacturing or trading environment, with the ability to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
• Handle budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and month-end/year-end closing activities.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain effective financial controls.
• Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Support ERP implementation and financial process improvements.
• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of financial records.
• Assist management with financial analysis and reporting as required.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6-8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or trading is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage accounting operations independently.
• Indian National with willingness to relocate and work in Nigeria.
Preferred Qualifications
• CA / CPA / ACCA qualification or part qualification will be an added advantage.
• Experience working in an African/Nigerian business environment will be an advantage.
• Exposure to statutory compliance, audits, taxation, and financial controls is preferred.
