VACANCY: CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

About the Role
We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Chief Accountant to provide strategic leadership across the organisation's accounting, tax, financial reporting, and statutory compliance functions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong financial controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, delivering accurate management reports, and providing financial insights that support sound business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the organisation's accounting, tax, and statutory compliance functions.
* Prepare accurate and timely periodic financial and management reports for the CEO and Management.
* Ensure proper financial records, reconciliations, controls, and accounting processes are maintained.
* Liaise with External Auditor tax authorities, and relevant regulatory bodies as required.
* Monitor statutory obligations and ensure timely compliance with applicable requirements.
* Provide financial analysis and insights to support Management decision-making.
* Participate actively as a member of the Management Team and contribute to strategic business discussions.
* Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting standards.
Requirements
* B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
* ACA qualification is required.
* MBA/Advanced professional qualification is an added advantage but not mandatory.
* Minimum 5 years' relevant experience, preferably within a structured PR, Hospitality, or related service industry.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
* Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* High level of integrity, attention to detail, accountability, and professional judgement.
