Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Source and acquire new customers who require loans and other financial services.
• Explain loan products, eligibility requirements, terms, and repayment conditions to customers.
• Receive, review, and process loan applications and supporting documents.
• Conduct customer, business, residence, and employment verification.
• Assess customers' creditworthiness and ability to repay loans.
• Conduct field visits to customers' businesses and residences when required.
• Prepare accurate loan assessment and recommendation reports.
• Ensure all required documentation is complete before loan disbursement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Monitor assigned loan portfolios and follow up on repayment schedules.
• Identify customers at risk of default and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Work closely with the Collections/Recovery and Operations teams to minimize loan delinquency.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and loan records.
• Achieve assigned monthly loan acquisition, disbursement, and portfolio quality targets.
• Ensure compliance with the bank's lending policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
• Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in lending, credit, microfinance, fintech, banking, sales, or a related role is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of loan assessment and customer verification processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer acquisition and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a target-driven environment.
• Good analytical and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to assess customer information accurately.
• Must be comfortable with field visits and customer engagement.
• Good knowledge of Ikorodu and surrounding areas is an advantage.
