JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTANT

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, perform reconciliations, support financial reporting, and ensure compliance with company policies. Candidates with experience in manufacturing, production, FMCG, or food processing are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate accounting records and process financial transactions.
• Prepare bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Support monthly management accounts, financial reports, and month-end closing.
• Monitor accounts payable, receivable, payment schedules, and outstanding balances.
• Assist with production costing and track raw material, packaging, and manufacturing expenses.
• Reconcile inventory records with financial records and investigate stock variances.
• Support stock counts and ensure inventory adjustments are properly documented.
• Assist with VAT, WHT, tax schedules, and audit documentation.
• Ensure compliance with financial procedures, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Work with the Senior Accountant and other departments to improve accounting accuracy and operational efficiency.
Requirements
• BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' practical accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of reconciliations, ledger management, payables, receivables, and financial reporting.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, FMCG, or food processing is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
• Experience in inventory accounting, production costing, and stock reconciliation is an advantage.
• Part-qualified or qualified ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
