Job Description
Agrovos is building an agricultural marketplace that connects Nigerian farmers with businesses. We help businesses source agricultural products while helping farmers reach more buyers and access new market opportunities.
We are an early-stage company looking for someone ready to help build our business sales network from the ground up.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced, confident, and results-driven B2B Sales Representative to recruit businesses onto Agrovos and turn them into active customers who purchase agricultural products in bulk.
Your primary goal is to identify potential buyers, secure meetings, pitch Agrovos, close sales, and build long-term business relationships.
We strongly prefer candidates based in Abuja who speak Hausa, as this will support our business outreach and relationship-building efforts in Northern Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and recruit business buyers, including restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, caterers, wholesalers, and food processors.
Research businesses, identify decision-makers, and develop a pipeline of qualified leads.
Conduct cold calls, send professional outreach messages, schedule meetings, deliver presentations, and follow up with prospects.
Convert prospects into registered businesses and secure their first bulk orders.
Build strong client relationships that encourage repeat purchases.
Conduct field visits and business meetings, particularly in Abuja and relevant Northern Nigerian markets.
Work closely with the operations team to ensure customer expectations around product availability, pricing, quality, and delivery are realistic.
Track sales activities, customer acquisition, orders, and revenue, and submit weekly reports.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent proven experience may be considered.
At least 3 years of sales or business development experience, preferably in B2B sales.
Proven experience in cold calling, lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
Strong research, presentation, persuasion, and relationship-building abilities.
Comfortable attending business meetings, conducting field visits, and working toward measurable targets.
Proficiency with CRM systems, spreadsheets, and WhatsApp Business.
Preferred Qualifications
Based in Abuja, Nigeria, with the ability to conduct in-person business outreach.
Fluent in Hausa, with strong English communication skills.
Experience in agriculture, food distribution, FMCG, wholesale, or hospitality procurement.
An existing network of business buyers, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, wholesalers, or food distributors is highly desirable.
Familiarity with the Northern Nigerian business environment is an advantage.
First 90-Day Targets
Build a database of 100 qualified target businesses.
Work toward 5 qualified business meetings per week after the initial onboarding period.
Onboard 10 businesses.
Secure 5 first bulk orders, subject to Agrovos’s operational readiness.
Compensation
Monthly base salary of ₦200,000–₦300,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Additional sales commission on qualifying completed orders.
Work-related travel and communication expenses will be addressed under the company’s expense policy.

Please state your current location and Hausa language proficiency in your application.
Shortlisted candidates will participate in a practical sales role-play.
