Job Description
Job Overview The HR Officer is responsible for supporting day-to-day human resources operations, employee relations, HR documentation, recruitment, and staff administration. The role ensures that HR processes are effectively implemented while maintaining accurate records, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational policies.
Core Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Administration
• Support the day-to-day implementation of HR policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation
• Prepare HR letters, reports, memos, and other employee-related documents
• Monitor staff attendance, leave, and other employee records
• Ensure proper filing and confidentiality of employee information
2. Recruitment & Onboarding
• Support recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination
• Assist with onboarding and documentation of new employees
• Coordinate pre-employment documentation and reference checks where required
• Maintain recruitment records and candidate databases
3. Employee Relations
• Respond to employee inquiries and provide appropriate HR support
• Assist in resolving employee concerns and workplace issues
• Support the implementation of employee engagement and welfare initiatives
• Maintain professional and confidential communication with employees
4. Performance & Staff Management
• Support performance appraisal and employee evaluation processes
• Monitor probation periods and follow up on confirmation processes
• Assist with staff training and development coordination
• Support disciplinary and corrective action processes in line with company policies
5. HR Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure HR practices are aligned with company policies and applicable labour requirements
• Prepare periodic HR reports and workforce updates for management
• Maintain accurate records of employee movements, promotions, transfers, and exits
• Support HR audits and compliance reviews when required
Requirements
Essential:
• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field
• 2–3 years of relevant corporate HR experience
• Good knowledge of HR operations, employee relations, and documentation
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR-related tools
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information
Preferred:
• CIPM, SHRM, or other relevant HR certification is an advantage
• Experience working in a structured corporate environment
• Familiarity with HRIS or digital HR management systems
• Good knowledge of Nigerian employment practices and labour regulations

Working Conditions
• Office-based role with regular interaction with employees and management

Pay: ₦200,000.00 - ₦250,000.00 per month
