Job Description
A leading Oil & Gas company is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of major gas, midstream, and EPC projects from engineering and planning through construction, commissioning, and project closeout.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project engineering and project management, with proven exposure to gas and midstream projects and a solid background working within EPC project environments.
Key Responsibilities • Coordinate and manage engineering activities across gas, midstream, and EPC projects.
• Support project execution from concept and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
• Review engineering deliverables, technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, HSE, and Commercial teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, cost, technical deliverables, and engineering performance.
• Coordinate technical interfaces between engineering disciplines, contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Support procurement and technical evaluation of equipment, materials, and services.
• Monitor EPC contractor performance and ensure engineering activities align with project requirements, specifications, and approved schedules.
• Identify and resolve engineering, technical, interface, and execution issues affecting project delivery.
• Support project risk management, change management, progress reporting, and technical decision-making.
• Participate in inspections, testing, commissioning, start-up, and project handover activities.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable industry standards, project specifications, HSE requirements, and company procedures.
Mandatory Requirements Candidates must have demonstrable experience in the following areas:
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager, or similar project delivery role within the Oil & Gas or Energy sector.
• Strong EPC project experience is mandatory.
• Direct gas project experience is mandatory.
• Midstream Oil & Gas project experience is mandatory or strongly preferred, particularly projects involving gas infrastructure and facilities.
• Demonstrable experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and project execution activities.
• Practical experience working with EPC contractors, engineering consultants, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of project engineering, project management, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project delivery processes.
• Experience managing project scope, schedule, technical deliverables, interfaces, risks, and changes.
• Strong understanding of engineering documentation, specifications, technical reviews, and project controls.
Relevant Gas & Midstream Experience Relevant project experience may include:
• Gas processing facilities
• Gas gathering systems
• Gas pipelines and transmission systems
• Gas compression facilities
• Gas treatment and conditioning
• Gas distribution infrastructure
• Gas metering facilities
• Gas storage facilities
• Gas-fired power or gas generator projects
• Gas infrastructure and associated utilities
• Midstream processing and transportation facilities
• Other major gas infrastructure projects
Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in large-scale gas and midstream developments, particularly projects delivered through EPC/EPCM contracting models, will be considered favorably.
Experience coordinating multiple engineering disciplines such as process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and control, civil/structural, and project controls will be an advantage.

Important Screening Requirement General Oil & Gas engineering experience alone will not be sufficient.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a combination of:
Project Engineering EPC Project Delivery Gas Experience Project Management Midstream Experience.
Candidates whose experience is limited to design engineering, maintenance, upstream operations, or general engineering without meaningful EPC project delivery and gas/midstream project exposure may not meet the requirements for this position.
