JOB SUMMARY

Our client who operates in the Capital Market industry is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst who will support the origination, execution, and management of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, restructuring, and financial advisory transactions. The role involves conducting financial analysis, preparing valuation models, developing client presentations, performing industry and company research, and supporting transaction execution activities.
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, financial modeling expertise, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of capital markets and corporate finance principles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Transaction Execution

• Support the execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, debt financing, restructuring, and financial advisory mandates.

• Assist in the preparation of transaction documents, proposals, information memoranda, pitch books, and client presentations.

• Coordinate due diligence activities and liaise with clients, legal advisers, auditors, regulators, and other transaction stakeholders.

• Support deal teams throughout the transaction lifecycle from origination to completion.

Financial Analysis and Valuation

• Build and maintain complex financial models to support transaction analysis and decision-making.

• Conduct business valuations using Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Comparable Company Analysis, Precedent Transactions, and other valuation methodologies.

• Analyze financial statements, operating performance, cash flows, and business risks.

• Develop financial forecasts and scenario analyses.

Research and Market Intelligence

• Conduct industry, market, economic, and company-specific research.

• Monitor developments in capital markets, regulatory environments, and industry sectors.

• Prepare market updates, sector reports, and transaction benchmarking analyses.

• Identify trends and opportunities that may be relevant to clients and prospective transactions.

Business Development Support

• Assist in preparing marketing materials and proposals for prospective clients.

• Support the development of pitch books and presentations for client meetings.

• Maintain databases of transactions, market information, and potential client opportunities.

• Participate in client meetings and support relationship management activities.

Regulatory and Compliance Support

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, and professional standards.

• Assist in preparing regulatory submissions and transaction-related filings where required.

• Maintain accurate transaction records and documentation.

Reporting and Administration

• Prepare transaction status reports and management updates.

• Maintain deal files, financial models, and supporting documentation.

• Assist in project management and coordination of multiple transaction workstreams.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Banking, or a related field.

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, private equity, consulting, or capital markets.

• Strong understanding of corporate finance, valuation methodologies, and financial statement analysis.

• Progress toward or possession of professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA, CISI, ICAN, or equivalent is an advantage.
