Job Overview
Our client located in Abuja is urgently seeking highly analytical and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant to oversee financial operations and perform internal auditing functions. The ideal candidate will ensure complete financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, risk management, and robust financial controls to support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Management & Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
• Internal Auditing & Controls: Plan, execute, and document internal financial and operational audits to evaluate controls, identify operational inefficiencies, and prevent fraud or errors.
• Taxation & Compliance: Oversee tax planning, computation, filing, and remittance (VAT, CIT, PAYE, WHT) while maintaining statutory compliance with relevant tax authorities.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with executive management to develop annual budgets, forecast cash flows, and monitor variance reporting.
• Risk Management: Conduct periodic risk assessments, evaluate business processes, and recommend actionable strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, ensuring timely delivery of documentation and smooth execution of annual statutory audits.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Professional Certification: Mandatory professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, or CPA).
• Education: B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience combining core accounting and internal auditing functions.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of statutory tax laws, local financial regulations, and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Technical & Professional Skills
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Excel.
• Proven background in audit execution, internal control design, and financial risk assessment.
• Strong numerical accuracy, analytical thinking, and data interpretation abilities.
• High ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional integrity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting financial reports to management.
Pay: ₦300,000.00 - ₦350,000.00 per month
