Role Summary:
AB Microfinance Bank Nigeria is seeking a Senior Business Analyst, Digital & Automation to strengthen the Innovation Department. The role scans the market and technology landscape for opportunities, analyses business problems and processes, and translates business needs into clear, testable requirements- including identifying where data, AI and automation can deliver measurable value.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct market research, competitor and fintech scanning and technology trend analysis, and translate findings into concrete market opportunities and candidate initiatives;
• Engage business departments to understand problems, needs, pain points and improvement opportunities;
• Conduct AS-IS and TO-BE process analysis and identify inefficiencies, control gaps and opportunities for digitization or automation;
• Scope practical data, AI/GenAI and automation RPA/workflow use cases and support proofs-of-concept.
• Develop BRDs, functional requirements, business rules, user stories and acceptance criteria;
• Facilitate requirements workshops, analyze solution options and support build-vs-buy-vs-partner and business cases;
• Support analytics/power BI outputs, UAT, requirements traceability and change-impact analysis;
• Ensure initiatives are screened against risk, compliance and AI governance requirements before proceeding.
Requirements:
• 5-8+ years relevant experience preferably in banking, microfinance, fintech, consulting or digital transformation;
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer science, Engineering, Information systems or related discipline;
• Strong business analysis and requirements-engineering capability; process mapping and re-engineering BPMN an advantage;
• Practical understanding of AI/GenAI, automation/RPA and workflow technology, APIs and system integration;
• Workshop facilitation, stakeholder management and strong problem-solving skills;
• CBAP, PMI-PBA, BCS Business Analysis or equivalent certification an advantage
Performance Measures:
• Quality and completeness of requirements; reduction in rework and defects;
• Market opportunities and use cases identified and converted into approved initiatives;
• Processes are redesigned or digitized, reduction in turnaround time and manual effort;
• AI/automation/data use cases delivered, quality and adoption of BI outputs.
