Role Description

• We are looking for a motivated leader wo can serve in the role of a Head Nurse with proven rehabilitative experience.
• The Head Nurse is a senior nursing professional responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the efficient operation of the Nursing department.
• The Head Nurse plays a crucial role in maintaining high-quality patient care, managing resources, and promoting a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
Leadership and management

• Provide leadership to the nursing team, including Matron, Charge Nurses, Registered Nurses (RNs), and Nursing Assistants.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (physicians, administrators, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists etc.) to ensure seamless patient care.
Staff supervision:
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Assign duties and responsibilities to nurses based on their skills and qualifications.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance issues.
Patient care:
• Monitor patient care activities to ensure adherence to standards and protocols.
• Assist with complex patient cases and provide guidance to nursing staff.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort.
Resource Management:
• Manage staffing levels, schedules, and shift assignments.
• Allocate resources efficiently (e.g., supplies, equipment, medications).
• Monitor budgetary constraints and optimize resource utilization.
Quality Improvement:
• Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
• Participate in audits, reviews, and accreditation processes.
• Address any deficiencies promptly.
Communication and collaboration:
• Foster effective communication within the nursing team and with other departments.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Act as a liaison between nursing staff and hospital administration.
Professional Development:
• Stay updated on nursing best practices, regulations, and advancements.
• Encourage ongoing education and professional growth among staff.
• Lead by example and maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications
• At least Post Graduate Degree in Nursing or other related courses.
• A valid Nursing License (RN or equivalent).
• At least 7 years of Nursing Clinical Experience and at least 3 years in a supervisorial role
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
