We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and people-focused HR & Admin Officer to support our growing team and ensure smooth day-to-day HR and administrative operations.
Job Summary The HR & Admin Officer will be responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle, maintaining accurate employee records, coordinating recruitment and onboarding, managing attendance and staff documentation, supporting performance management and employee relations, and ensuring that administrative processes run efficiently.
The ideal candidate should be approachable and professional while also being confident enough to enforce company policies, follow up on staff responsibilities, and maintain accountability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management
• Manage day-to-day HR activities and provide support to employees and Management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, contracts, personal information, and HR documentation.
• Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding.
• Prepare employment letters, confirmation letters, queries, warning letters, termination letters, and other HR documentation as required.
• Maintain staff attendance, leave, lateness, absenteeism, and other employee records.
• Support employee performance management, appraisals, probation reviews, and performance improvement processes.
• Conduct staff check-ins and support employee engagement initiatives.
• Handle employee concerns and workplace issues professionally, escalating matters to Management where necessary.
• Ensure employees understand and comply with company policies, procedures, and workplace expectations.
• Support disciplinary processes and ensure proper documentation of employee incidents and actions.
Recruitment & Onboarding
• Coordinate the recruitment process from vacancy posting through candidate selection.
• Screen applications and shortlist suitable candidates based on job requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews with Management and department heads.
• Prepare onboarding documentation and ensure new employees complete all required forms.
• Coordinate employee induction and orientation.
• Ensure new employees receive the necessary information, tools, access, and resources required to perform their roles.
• Maintain proper records of all recruitment and onboarding activities.
Staff Administration
• Maintain an updated staff list, organizational structure, job descriptions, and reporting lines.
• Manage staff files and ensure all required employment documents are properly filed.
• Track staff leave, attendance, resumption, resignation, and exit processes.
• Coordinate staff communications and ensure important HR information reaches employees promptly.
• Support the preparation of HR reports for Management.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information at all times.
Payroll & Benefits Support
• Collate and verify attendance, lateness, leave, deductions, and other information required for payroll processing.
• Work with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely payroll information.
• Maintain records relating to employee salaries, benefits, deductions, and other employment-related matters.
• Support the administration of staff benefits and welfare initiatives.
Administrative Support
• Support the day-to-day administrative operations of the company.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation systems for HR and administrative records.
• Coordinate office supplies, staff requirements, and general administrative needs.
• Assist Management with reports, documentation, correspondence, and other administrative tasks.
• Support the coordination of staff meetings, training, and internal activities.
• Ensure company documents and records are properly organized and easily accessible.
• Assist with implementing systems and processes that improve administrative efficiency.
Compliance & Policy
• Ensure HR practices are aligned with company policies and applicable employment requirements.
• Communicate company policies and procedures to employees.
• Monitor compliance with workplace rules and standards.
• Maintain proper documentation for employee-related incidents and disciplinary matters.
• Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive company and employee information.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in HR and administrative roles.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, employee records, attendance, and performance management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and HR documentation systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Strong interpersonal and people-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with Management and different departments.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in hospitality, events, retail, or a fast-paced service environment.
• Experience working with a growing organization where HR systems and processes are being developed.
• Familiarity with HR software, attendance systems, project management tools, or employee management platforms.
• Knowledge of Nigerian employment practices and HR administration.

Job Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: On-site | Monday–Saturday, with one day off based on the company's operational schedule. Flexibility may be required during events and other business-critical activities.
Pay: From ₦250,000.00 per month
