Coronation Merchant Bank is seeking an experienced
Team Lead, Market Risk
to oversee the identification, measurement, and management of market risk exposures across the Bank's trading and investment activities.
What you'll own:
🔹 Developing and implementing market risk management frameworks, policies, and limits
🔹 Monitoring and reporting on FX, interest rate, and price risk exposures
🔹 Conducting stress testing, scenario analysis, and Value-at-Risk (VaR) computations
🔹 Ensuring compliance with CBN regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite limits
🔹 Collaborating with Treasury, Trading, and ALM teams to manage risk-adjusted returns
🔹 Preparing market risk reports for Executive Management, ALCO, and the Board Risk Committee
🔹 Leading and developing a team of market risk analysts
What we're looking for:
✔️ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field
✔️ 8+ years' experience in market risk management within a bank or financial institution
✔️ Strong knowledge of market risk methodologies (VaR, stress testing, sensitivity analysis)
✔️ Familiarity with CBN market risk guidelines and Basel framework principles
✔️ Proven leadership and team management experience
✔️ Relevant certifications is an advantage
✔️ Strong analytical, quantitative, and stakeholder management skills
