Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all statutory renditions daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually applicable to the Finance unit are rendered as and when due.
• Assist with monthly tax computations current and deferred tax calculations and reconciliations; liaise with Tax Consultants on tax-related matters such as tax planning, tax compliance, transfer pricing, withholding taxes, indirect taxes, PAYE, and so on.
• Provide support for the preparation and review of the accounting policies of the bank in line with existing IFRSs and updating them in line with the release of new IFRS standards.
• Managing the capital management planning and forecasting for the bank with the aim of optimization of the capital structure and ensuring an appropriate mix of tier I and II capital while monitoring capital adequacy levels alongside the team lead of Financial Reporting.
• Support in liaising with rating agencies and coordinating the annual rating exercise for the bank

• Preparing proof for all accounts as assigned by the CFO
• Assist with the coordination of the Bank's external audit and regulatory review processes.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 4 - 5 years’ experience in financial reporting, accounting, or financial analysis
• Proven experience preparing financial reports and management reports.
• Strong reconciliation skills with the ability to investigate and resolve financial variances.
• Experience supporting month-end reporting and financial close processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial analysis and reporting functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
