Senior Finance Officer

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Finance Officer to support the Bank's financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance

Years of Experience: 5-7 years

Salary: 350k – 450k monthly net

Key responsibilities

Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards
Strong knowledge of accrual accounting, journal entries and adjusting entries.

Ability to review and analyse Trial Balance (TB) and General Ledger (GL) and make necessary corrections.

Reconciliation of ledger account and resolution of discrepancies

GL mapping and Chart of Accounts management

Strong internal control mind-set with excellent attention to detail.

Amortization, depreciation and impairment of assets

Consolidation of financial reports where applicable

Expert knowledge of bank reconciliations.

Settlement account reconciliation (NIBSS, switches, payment partners, etc.).

Ability to identify anomalies, inconsistencies and unreconciled balances.

Ability to prepare and interpret financial reports, ratio analysis

Strong internal control mind-set with excellent attention to detail.

Comprehensive knowledge of Nigerian tax laws.

VAT administration & Withholding Tax &PAYE, Company Income Tax, Tax planning and compliance and Tax audit support

Provide general financial oversight within the organization

Requirement: B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.

• Experience in a banking or financial services environment is an added advantage.

• ACA/ACCA (advantage).

• ACIB or MCIB (advantage).
