Job Description
Job Title- Surveyor Oil and Gas

Location- Lagos

Job Summary The Surveyor will be responsible for accurately measuring, monitoring, and verifying petroleum products received, stored, and dispatched within the tank farm. The role ensures inventory accuracy, quantity reconciliation, compliance with industry standards, and operational integrity by conducting stock measurements, inspections, and documentation of petroleum products.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily tank gauging and product measurements using approved methods and equipment.

• Determine the quantity of petroleum products received, stored, and dispatched.

• Perform tank dipping, ullage, water finding, and temperature measurements.

• Calculate product volumes and apply correction factors where necessary.

• Verify product quantities during loading and discharge operations.

• Witness receipt and discharge of petroleum products from vessels, trucks, or pipelines.

• Verify cargo quantities against shipping documents.

• Monitor product transfers between storage tanks.

• Conduct pre-loading and post-loading inspections.

• Prepare daily stock reports.

• Record discrepancies in product quantity or quality.

• Maintain measurement logs and inspection records.

• Verify seals and tank conditions.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or HND in:

• Quantity Surveying

• Petroleum Engineering

• Marine Engineering

• Or a related discipline.

Experience
2–5 years of experience in:

• Tank farm operations

• Petroleum terminal operations

• Cargo surveying

• Inventory management

• Oil & Gas logistics
