Job Summary

• We are seeking a proactive and people-oriented HR Officer to support our workforce operations in Calabar.
• This is a field-based role that requires regular engagement with factory workers and site supervisors to ensure effective workforce management, employee relations, compliance with company policies, and smooth HR operations across assigned locations.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct regular visits to factory sites to engage with employees and supervisors.
• Serve as the primary HR contact for factory workers, addressing employee concerns and providing HR support.
• Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and workforce discipline.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation for newly hired factory employees.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and labor regulations.
• Investigate and resolve employee relations issues in a fair and timely manner.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Support recruitment activities for factory-based positions, including interviews and onboarding.
• Coordinate employee welfare initiatives and engagement activities.
• Prepare HR reports, attendance records, disciplinary reports, and other workforce analytics.
• Liaise with line managers to identify manpower needs and support workforce planning.
• Ensure proper implementation of disciplinary procedures and performance management processes.
• Support health, safety, and compliance initiatives within the factory environment.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in an HR Generalist or HR Officer role.
• Experience supporting factory, manufacturing, FMCG, or field-based operations is an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law and HR best practices.
• Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple field locations.
• Must be willing to spend significant time in the field engaging with factory workers.
