Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager with strong knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry, particularly the Downstream and Midstream sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, driving revenue growth, and expanding the company’s market presence within the oil and gas sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities within the downstream and midstream oil & gas sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and key decision-makers.
• Develop and implement effective business development and sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities, industry trends, and potential clients.
• Prepare and present business proposals, quotations, and commercial presentations to prospective clients.
• Manage the business development pipeline and ensure timely follow-up on leads and opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms in collaboration with relevant internal teams.
• Maintain strong knowledge of industry developments, competitors, and market dynamics.
• Represent the company at relevant industry meetings, networking events, and business engagements.
• Prepare regular reports on business development activities, opportunities, and performance.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree/HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong understanding of the Downstream and Midstream Oil & Gas sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and convert business opportunities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the Nigerian Oil & Gas market.
• Ability to build relationships with corporate clients and key industry stakeholders.
• Must be based in or willing to work in Port Harcourt.
