Job Description
The Workover Wellsite Engineer supervises onsite workover activities on a hydraulic workover unit, ensuring safe and efficient operations, implementing well programs and supervising onsite personnel.



• Directing and Coordinating Activities: Supervises all workover activities performed via the HWU, ensuring they are executed according to plans and procedures.

• Ensuring Safety and Efficiency: Prioritize safety by implementing and enforcing safety procedures, pre-job safety meetings, and ensuring the HWU operates efficiently.

• Implementing Workover Programs: Responsible for the implementation of approved workover programs, implementing the management of change process, organizing daily operations, issuing work instructions, and managing resources.

• Supervising Personnel: Supervise workover HWU crew activities, service company personnel, and contractors, providing guidance, ensuring crew change compliance and training as needed.

• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare daily workover reports, daily value of work done reports, cost reports, and other necessary documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping.



JOB CONTEXT & KEY CHALLENGES



• Equipment QAQC on location: HWU requirements & availability, HWU specifications and availability assessment.

• Work closely with Lead Well Engineer to ensure compliance to well programs.

• Drive Contractors, service companies and operations team to enhance safe and efficient workover operations.

• Completion Fluid Recipe compliance: Brines (kill fluid, fluid loss control), Completion / packer Fluid recipes, cement recipes.



Qualification & Experience



• A university degree in Engineering, or a related field.

• 10+ year's as well operational experience with at least 5 years' experience in Wells completions

• Knowledgeable in Wells HSSE processes and track record of delivery.

• Well Control certification is an advantage.

• Good understanding of fishing equipment, tools and fishing operations

• Broad understanding of Wells Completions and related operations.

• Broad knowledge/experience of producing operations activities and surface operations.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to pull together information, identify the issues, then formulate and deliver action plans.

• Ability to manage delivery through service contractors and specialists.

• Knowledgeable in oil industry technical processes (including Well delivery processes, hydrocarbon field development planning etc.).
