Job Summary
• The Station Supervisor supports the Station Manager in the day-to-day operations of the station, ensuring smooth business operations, excellent customer service, compliance with company policies, and efficient supervision of station staff.
• The Supervisor assumes responsibility for station operations in the absence of the Station Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support:
• Support the Station Manager in the daily running of the station.
• Supervise daily station activities to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure the station opens and closes according to approved procedures.
• Monitor the functionality of pumps, generators, POS terminals, and other station equipment.
• Escalate operational issues to the Station Manager where necessary.
Staff Supervision:
• Supervise Pump Attendants, Cashiers, and other station personnel during assigned shifts.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor staff performance.
• Ensure employees adhere to company policies, grooming standards, and work schedules.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and guidance to station staff.
• Report disciplinary issues and attendance concerns to the Station Manager.
Sales and Customer Service:
• Monitor daily fuel and non-fuel sales.
• Ensure prompt, courteous, and professional customer service.
• Resolve customer complaints and escalate unresolved issues.
• Encourage the achievement of station sales targets.
Inventory Management:
• Monitor fuel stock levels and retail inventory.
• Assist in daily stock reconciliation and inventory counts.
• Report stock shortages, variances, or losses.
• Ensure products are properly stored and accounted for.
Health, Safety, Security and Environment HSSE:
• Ensure compliance with all HSSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine safety inspections of the station.
• Ensure firefighting equipment is available and serviceable.
• Report accidents, incidents, hazards, and near misses immediately.
• Promote a safe working environment for employees and customers.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare and submit shift reports.
• Maintain accurate operational records.
• Report equipment faults, maintenance issues, and operational challenges.
• Assist the Station Manager in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Acting Station Manager:
• Take charge of station operations in the absence of the Station Manager.
• Make operational decisions within approved authority.
• Ensure uninterrupted station operations until the Station Manager returns.
