Global Talent Manager Africa (GTMA) is recruiting on behalf of a client seeking an experienced and proactive
HR Officer
to oversee day-to-day human resources operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of HR best practices, payroll administration, employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and HR documentation.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and employee confirmations.
• Prepare and maintain HR documentation, including employment contracts, confirmation letters, disciplinary letters, exit documentation, and personnel records.
• Coordinate payroll processes and ensure accurate salary administration, including statutory deductions and remittances (PAYE, Pension, NSITF, NHF, etc.).
• Maintain accurate employee records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with applicable labour laws.
• Support employee engagement, welfare initiatives, and performance management activities.
• Handle employee relations matters professionally and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, labour regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare HR reports, including recruitment updates, attendance, leave records, headcount, and other HR metrics.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, processes, and systems.
• Work closely with management to foster a productive, compliant, and high-performing work environment.
Requirements
• Minimum of
3 years' proven experience
in a Human Resources role.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
• Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in
payroll administration
, statutory remittances, recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations.
• Strong understanding of the Nigerian Labour Act and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software/HRIS is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

for ease of commuting.
• Proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Compensation
• Salary:
₦250,000 Gross per month.
