About the Role
Client: SPIG IT LIMITED
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Remote Accountant to support our growing team.
Location: Lagos State, Nigeria (Remote)
Employment Type: Contract (with potential for long-term engagement)
Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly financial reports and business account analysis
• Process tax and VAT filings
• Maintain accurate financial records
• Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations
Provide financial insights to support business decisions

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience in preparing financial statements and monthly management reports
• Ability to process tax, VAT filings and statutory compliance accurately and on time
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Professional accounting certification is an added advantage
Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote work setup

Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting
• Good knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, VAT, and statutory compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment
