Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven Performance Management Officer / Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in financial analysis, corporate budgeting, performance report, and business intelligence, working across the organisation to translate complex financial data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
Job Details
• Prepare monthly performance reports for business teams and SBUs
• Conduct end-to-end deal profitability analysis on risk asset facilities, evaluating net income per cycle, interbank funding costs Funds Transfer Pricing.
• Prepare and cascade organisation-wide budgets Opex, Capex, revenue, deposits, and risk assets across divisions, groups, and strategic business units, ensuring alignment with corporate financial targets.
• Conduct account activity analysis including demographic profiling, dormancy assessment, concentration risk evaluation, credit turnover analysis, and customer segmentation to support business decisions.
• Perform daily variance and trend analysis on financial results, providing early-warning insights to senior management on budget deviations.
• Analyse profitability and performance of digital, deposit, and risk asset products to identify revenue leakages and growth opportunities.
• Execute industry and competitor benchmarking to support strategic planning and market positioning.
• Liaise with HR on financial performance appraisals, ensuring metrics are aligned to business outcomes.
• Partner with business units to support data-driven decision-making and prompt resolution of performance issues.
Requirements
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in a numerate or business-related discipline Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
Experience
• Minimum of 5 years experience in performance management, financial planning & analysis, or business intelligence, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Proven track record in corporate budgeting and enterprise-wide performance reporting.
Skills & Competencies
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI dashboard development.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and data modelling.
• Excellent analytical, variance, and trend analysis skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with HR, credit, and business units.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines.
Certifications Preferred
• ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage
