Job descriptions & requirements

E-Doc Online Nigeria Limited is an indigenous AI-powered financial zintelligence, open banking infrastructure, and financial technology company. We work across open banking API infrastructure, AI-driven credit scoring, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), and financial inclusion analytics .
Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Product/Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of E-Doc's open banking and fintech product initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, client delivery, and regulatory-grade execution ,translating institutional requirements (banks, regulators, government agencies) into shippable product roadmaps and well-governed project plans.
The ideal candidate has walked both sides of the table: strategy/advisory (ideally Big 4) and hands-on delivery within financial services or fintech, with direct exposure to open banking frameworks, APIs, and the Nigerian regulatory landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product/project lifecycle for open banking, BaaS, and AI-driven credit assessment initiatives — from scoping through delivery and post-launch iteration.

• Translate client and regulatory requirements into clear product requirements, roadmaps, and phased implementation plans.

• Manage cross-functional delivery across engineering, compliance, and business development teams, ensuring alignment with SLAs, governance frameworks, and regulatory timelines (NDPA, Open Banking, AML/CFT Act 2022).

• Lead proposal-to-delivery handoff for institutional engagements, ensuring commitments made in tenders/proposals are operationally deliverable.

• Define and track product KPIs, delivery milestones, risk registers, and governance matrices for multi-stakeholder projects.

• Act as primary liaison with institutional clients and partners during implementation phases, managing expectations and reporting progress.

• Support pricing, scoping, and solution design input into new business proposals and RFP responses.

• Drive continuous improvement of internal delivery methodology, documentation standards, and product management practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 5–8+ years of combined experience in product management, project management, or management consulting.

• Prior experience at a top-tier consulting firm is essential (Big 4 — Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, or EY strongly preferred).

• Demonstrable experience in financial services, with direct exposure to open banking frameworks, APIs, or initiatives (regulatory, technical, or commercial side).

• Strong understanding of the Nigerian financial regulatory environment (CBN guidelines, NDPR, open banking regulatory framework) is highly desirable.

• Track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with institutional or government clients.

• Experience working with or alongside engineering/technical teams on API-driven or data-driven products.

• Strong proposal writing, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant Master's degree preferred.

• PMP, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience with Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), embedded finance, or credit scoring products.

• Familiarity with fintech infrastructure players (NIBSS, switch operators, payment processors) in Nigeria or comparable emerging markets.

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup/scale-up environment after a structured consulting background.

• High attention to detail in governance, documentation, and client-facing deliverables.
