Job description The position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing sales activities within the Lagos environs, as well as designing and executing an innovative, growth-focused commercial strategy centered on new opportunities and emerging markets.

The Team Lead Sales – Energy Business will be responsible for driving customer acquisition, achieving revenue targets, and providing overall direction for the company’s sales and marketing functions. This includes oversight of market development, competitive positioning, product definition and pricing strategies, as well as distribution and diversification initiatives.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Direct strategy toward the profitable growth and effective operation of the business.

• Represent the company externally to strengthen its profile and maximize business development opportunities.

• Maintain strong knowledge of the company’s products and services to ensure accurate handling of customer queries and requirements.

• Ensure all commercial activities meet or exceed budget, cost, volume, and efficiency targets (KPIs) in line with business objectives.

• Achieve sales growth and meet assigned revenue targets through effective execution of sales strategies.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships by understanding client needs and delivering value-driven solutions.

• Work with the Head of Sales & Marketing to ensure consistent lead generation and pipeline development.

• Support the preparation and implementation of annual work plans and resource strategies aligned with overall company objectives.

• Identify and develop business opportunities by researching prospects, evaluating industry position, and analyzing sales options.

• Maintain client relationships by providing ongoing support, information, and guidance, while identifying opportunities for growth, service improvement, and profitability.

• Prepare accurate cost calculations and quotations for customers.

• Contribute to strategic planning to expand the customer base and strengthen market presence.

• Prepare and present sales, revenue, expense reports, and realistic forecasts to management.

• Collaborate with the Technical Team on sales technology initiatives and solution delivery support.

• Ensure effective use of CRM systems and other sales applications for pipeline and customer management.

• Train team members and ensure adherence to established sales processes and best practices.

• Contribute to team performance by completing assigned tasks and supporting business objectives.

• Ensure all sales activities comply with the Company’s Code of Conduct and corporate policies.

• Support marketing and organizational objectives through effective execution of assigned responsibilities.

• Maintain confidentiality and protect organizational information always.

• Continuously update job knowledge through training, professional reading, networking, and participation in industry associations.

• Liaise with vendors and IT personnel to resolve technical and service-related issues.

• Develop qualified leads and generate new business in line with commercial targets.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.

• Promote the company, its products, and services positively and professionally always.

• Serve as spokesperson for the company at industry events and engagements.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief of Business (ITH).

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.

• A Master’s degree from a recognized university will be an added advantage.

• Membership of relevant professional management associations will be an added advantage.

• Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in ICT, Telecommunications, or a related industry.
