• Design and develop surface production facilities including flow stations, pipelines, and processing units to support safe and efficient crude oil exploration and production activities.
• Lead the construction, installation, and commissioning of new facilities, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections, audits, and risk assessments to maintain the integrity, reliability, and safety of facility systems and infrastructure.
• Support field development planning by providing technical input on facility requirements, layouts, and integration with production systems.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of facility equipment and systems, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvement and downtime reduction.
• Ensure full compliance with HSSE policies, environmental guidelines, and industry regulations including those set by NUPRC, NAPIMS, and other NNPC agencies.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and engineering documentation including P&IDs, equipment specifications, and operation manuals.
• Plan and supervise facility maintenance activities, including preventive programs, emergency repairs, and system upgrades, while managing contractor performance.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as Production, Drilling, and HSE, and maintain effective communication with external contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
• Build strong working relationships with multidisciplinary teams and service providers to support integrated field execution and problem resolution.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting, modifications, and upgrades of existing facilities to ensure continuous operations and alignment with production goals.
• Promote a culture of safety, operational integrity, and continuous improvement in all facility-related activities and engineering decisions.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical; a master’s degree in engineering or an MBA is an added advantage.
• Strong expertise in facility design, construction, operations, and maintenance within the oil and gas sector, with sound knowledge of relevant industry standards, HSSE regulations, and engineering codes.
• Proficiency in engineering design software e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, or similar, project management tools, and familiarity with regulatory engagement processes involving NUPRC, NNPC, and related agencies.
• COREN registered with working knowledge of oil and gas facilities, Process Engineering, and Project Engineering systems, tools and practices.
• Minimum of 10 years of upstream oil and gas experience, special consideration will be given to land, swamp and shallow water experience in Nigeria.
