Job Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technology-driven Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and a keen interest in information technology, particularly accounting and business management software. This role combines traditional accounting responsibilities with client-facing software implementation, user support, training, and business process advisory services.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients to understand their accounting requirements, assist in software deployment, provide training and support, and ensure that accounting software solutions effectively meet business needs.
Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Expertise
• Apply accounting principles and best practices in client engagements.
• Analyze client financial processes and recommend improvements.
• Assist clients in setting up charts of accounts, financial reports, budgets, and accounting workflows.
• Validate financial data migration from legacy systems to new accounting software.
• Review and reconcile financial records during implementation projects.
• Support clients with month-end, year-end, and financial reporting requirements.
Software Implementation
• Participate in the implementation and deployment of accounting and ERP software solutions.
• Gather and document client business and accounting requirements.
• Configure accounting software modules based on client needs.
• Conduct system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Assist with data migration, system setup, and post-implementation reviews.
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve implementation challenges.
Client Training & Support
• Deliver user training sessions on accounting software functionality and best practices.
• Provide first-line and second-line support to clients on accounting-related software issues.
• Troubleshoot accounting transactions, reports, and system configuration issues.
• Develop user guides, training materials, and knowledge-base documentation.
• Ensure timely resolution of client support tickets and inquiries.
Business Process Improvement
• Evaluate client accounting workflows and identify opportunities for automation.
• Advise clients on optimizing financial controls and reporting processes using software tools.
• Stay informed about developments in accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial technology.
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting certification (ACA, ACCA, ICAN, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience
• 2–5 years of accounting, audit, finance, or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience using accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Tally, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP Business One, Odoo, Zoho Books, or similar solutions.
• Experience in software implementation or business systems support is an added advantage.
Technical Skills
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to understand software workflows, databases, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with ERP and accounting software implementation methodologies.
• Basic SQL knowledge is an advantage.
