PROJECT MANAGER / SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER
Offshore & Onshore EPCI Projects
ABOUT THE COMPANY
We are an international EPCI company delivering offshore and onshore oil and gas projects across West Africa. We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer to lead complex EPCI projects from contract award through engineering, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and final handover.
ROLE OVERVIEW The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project execution, managing client relationships, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
This role reports directly to the Chief Technical Officer (CTO).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Execution & Construction
• Lead pipeline installation campaigns onshore and offshore, including: S-lay, J-lay, Reel-lay
• Manage subsea and shallow water construction activities, including: Tie-ins, PLETs & PLEMs, ROV interfaces, Diving contractor coordination
• Oversee Platform rehabilitation, Brownfield modifications, Early Production System (EPS) projects through first oil
Mechanical & Facilities Management
• Coordinate compressor installation, hook-up, testing, and commissioning for: Onshore & Offshore stations facilities
• Supervise vessel-based operations involving: Lay barges, Crane vessels, Diving Support Vessels (DSVs)
Project Controls & Commercial Management
• Develop and implement project execution plans, schedules, and resource plans
• Monitor project scope, schedule, cost, and risk performance using CPI/SPI metrics
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, procurement activities, and construction interfaces
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, company procedures, and industry regulations
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Educational Qualification
B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Professional Experience
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in oil & gas projects across offshore and onshore environments.
Minimum of 5 years in a Project Management or Project Lead role on EPCI projects.
Hands-on experience with offshore vessel-based pipe installation and subsea construction.
Hands-on experience with onshore (land & swamp) pipe installation and EPF/Gas Plant projects.
Technical Competencies
Working knowledge of
DNV-ST-F101
ASME B31.4 / B31.8
API 1111
Proficiency in: Primavera P6, MS Project
BOSIET / HUET certification or willingness to obtain certification.
