About Provenier Innovations

Provenier Innovations is a Nigerian product company operating three subsidiaries: Phoenix Dev (development), Phoenix Studio (design and motion storytelling), and Phoenix Academy (education). We are about to start design on Provenier Core(our flagship platform) alongside delivering client work in engineering, design, and motion. This role exists to make sure none of it drags.

About the Role

We're hiring a Project Manager — not a Product Manager. Our Product Managers handle product strategy, research, and decisions. Your job is to make the work happen: track every deliverable, every dependency, every deadline across engineering, design, motion, and most critically the Provenier Core build.

If you've seen a project quietly slip a week because no one was watching the dependency chain — and it bothered you enough to fix it, this role is for you.

Primary Focus

Provenier Core: The flagship product enters a ~5-week design sprint imminently, followed by development. You will own delivery cadence on this end-to-end. Expect ~60% of your time here.

Other Responsibilities

• Run weekly delivery cadence across one engineering team and one design team

• Maintain the master project tracker. every workstream, every blocker, every dependency, visible at all times

• Drive sprint planning, stand-ups, and retros across teams

• Translate PM-defined PRDs into actionable, time-bound delivery plans

• Hold contractors and team members accountable to written commitments

• Flag scope creep, missed dependencies, and resource conflicts before they become drags

• Produce a weekly executive delivery report (status, risks, asks)

You Are Not

• Writing PRDs (Product Managers do this)

• Setting product strategy (Product Managers do this)

• Making design or engineering decisions (the respective leads do this)

Required

• 3+ years managing concurrent project workstreams in a software or creative environment

• Tooling fluency: Notion, GitHub Projects, Figma, Slack

• Comfort holding senior contributors accountable to written deadlines

• Clear, written communication as this role lives in async docs

Bonus

• Past experience shipping a product

• Background in studio/agency environments with parallel client work

• Demonstrated track record of taking over a delayed project and shipping it on revised timeline

• Familiarity with React/Node delivery cycles

Success in This Role Means

• 90% of sprint commitments hit on time within first 60 days

• Weekly delivery report delivered every Friday without prompting
Zero deliverable surprises to leadership (issues flagged
• 48hrs before slip)

• Provenier Core design phase completed within agreed window
