Role Description The Human Resources Specialist is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting the end-to-end employee lifecycle and helping build a positive, compliant, and high-performing work environment. This role includes coordinating recruitment activities, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, supporting onboarding, and maintaining accurate employee records. The specialist will help implement HR policies and procedures, administer employee benefits, and respond to HR-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting performance management processes, assisting with training and development initiatives, and monitoring compliance with labor laws and internal standards. The role will also involve contributing to HR reporting, supporting employee engagement activities, and collaborating with managers to address personnel matters in a fair and consistent way.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) practices and HR Management, with experience supporting the full employee lifecycle.
Knowledge of HR Policies and Employee Benefits, including the ability to interpret and explain policies clearly to team members.
Proficiency in Personnel Management, including handling employee records, supporting performance discussions, and managing confidential information with discretion.
Familiarity with HRIS or HR software tools, and solid skills in using productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, documents, and video conferencing platforms) for remote work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with distributed, cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant HR certifications are an advantage.
Understanding of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices;
experience in the technology or education sectors is a plus.
