Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with Master Degree in Accounting plus professional certification (e.g., ICAN in Nigeria, ACCA, or ACA).With minimum of 2 -3 years experience in practice.Core ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting: Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements, monthly management accounts, and year-end reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards like IFRS.Auditing: Conducting internal and external audits to verify financial records, assess risks, and ensure transparency for shareholders and regulators.Taxation: Managing corporate tax planning and compliance, preparing tax returns, and staying updated on national tax laws to minimize liabilities legally.Strategic Planning: Providing financial advice on investment strategies, budgeting, and forecasting to support business growth and profitability.Risk Management: Identifying operational risks and implementing internal control systems to safeguard company assets.Corporate Governance: Advising boards of directors on financial ethics, transparency, and regulatory adherence.Specialized RolesManagement Consultancy: Advising on mergers, acquisitions, and business expansions.Legal Advising: Handling liquidations, acting as trustees for deceased estates, and managing corporate contracts.Investigative Duties: Forensic accounting to detect fraud, theft, or financial irregularities.Technical SkillsProficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, QuickBooks, Odoo, Among Others), financial modeling, and mastery of reporting standards.Soft SkillsHigh integrity, analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex data to non-finance stakeholders.
