Job summary
Sales Lead — SMB Acquisition. You will be responsible for getting Clerk in front of Nigerian small business owners and driving early adoption. This is not a "post content and wait" role — you will be on the ground, in WhatsApp groups, at business events, and in online communities, finding our first 100 users.

Responsibilities:
• Identify, engage, and acquire small business owners as Clerk users through community outreach, social media, and direct engagement.
• Create and distribute content: blog posts, social media posts, short demo videos, and WhatsApp-friendly marketing materials.
• Plan and execute our public launch across Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Product Hunt, and Nigerian tech communities (TechCabal, Techpoint Africa, etc.).
• Build relationships with ecosystem partners — Paystack, Mono, Shopify merchants, business associations, and co-working spaces.
• Design and run a referral program to drive word-of-mouth growth.
• Develop the "accountant channel" — identify small accounting firms that could use Clerk for their clients.
• Track and report on acquisition metrics: signups, activation rates, channel performance.
Requirements:
• Experience in marketing or selling to small business owners in Nigeria.
• Understand the Nigerian SMB ecosystem — the pain points, the channels they use, the language that resonates.
• Self-starter who can operate independently and move fast.
• Comfortable with both digital marketing (social media, content, SEO) and on-the-ground outreach (events, WhatsApp groups, direct engagement).
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• You are excited about AI and fintech — you don't need to be technical, but you should be genuinely curious about how AI is changing business tools.
• Experience in fintech, SaaS, or the accounting/bookkeeping industry.
• Existing network of small business owners or accountants in Nigeria.
• Experience with Product Hunt launches.
• Content creation skills (video, design, copywriting).
