Job role: Registered Nurse
Location: Sangotedo, Lagos State
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform patient assessment using appropriate, problem-focused, and age-specific assessment techniques. Derive nursing interventions, set priorities according to patient needs, formulate a plan of care, implement and evaluate the outcome.
• Provide emotional support and measures to alleviate fear and anxiety. Assess patient and family readiness and identify learning needs. Participate in voluntary community health activities to promote, maintain and restore health and prevent diseases.
• Provide basic life support when needed. Document all relevant data in the electronic medical record according Administer medications, monitor desirable and undesirable effects, and intervene appropriately
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and clinical guidelines in the department, distinguish between different nursing processes and procedures, ensuring adherence to the appropriate protocols.
• Participate in regular reviews of SOPs and processes to ensure compliance with best practices.
• Maintain up-to-date records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Identifies abnormal findings from patient assessments and understands when to perform a reassessment, consistently initiating follow-up actions as needed to ensure patient safety.
· Recognize subtle cues to anticipate potential problems.

Assess patient and family readiness and identify learning needs

Consistently identifies areas for improvement for all nursing
processes, and communicates effectively with the manager or coordinator to
enhance process efficiency and execution.

Addresses patients' basic inquiries with clarity and efficiently
routes more complex questions to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Collaborates effectively with physicians, fellow nurses, and
allied health professionals to develop and implement comprehensive patient care.
· Administer medications, monitor desirable and undesirable effects, and intervene appropriately. Travel to patients’ homes to deliver care as required. Manage patients with infectious diseases when applicable. Attends Home care visits when scheduled on-call shift.

Perform clerical duties when needed. Ensure that patients are
provided with appropriate nutrition. Manage paediatric patients with infectious
diseases when applicable

Sources and develops materials to update or create new SOPs,
ensuring alignment with the organization’s quality standards

Accurately interprets prescriptions to ensure safe and effective
patient care.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree OR Diploma of Nursing from an accredited nursing college, University with High Distinction
• Minimum of 2 - 5 years of postgraduate nursing experience in an accredited University Teaching, Federal Medical Center, or International hospital. BLS/ACLS Certificates
• Must have current clinical experience in direct patient care and have worked a minimum of 2 years in the last 3 years.
• Candidates must reside within Sangotedo or its immediate environs
