Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Work Schedule: On-site | Monday – Friday (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
Salary: ₦500,000 – ₦700,000 Gross Monthly

About the Role

Our client, a reputable construction and real estate development company, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to oversee construction projects from planning and design through to execution and completion.

This role is ideal for a results-driven construction professional with strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of project planning, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and site execution.

You will be responsible for coordinating architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with the client’s design requirements and expectations.

This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes full ownership of project delivery.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Project Planning & Design Coordination

• Plan, conceptualize, and oversee the design and execution of construction projects.

• Prepare and review drawings and technical documentation for project implementation.

• Conduct feasibility studies and in-depth project analyses to determine scope, budgets, and deliverables.

• Collaborate closely with architects, consultants, and engineers to define project requirements and specifications.

• Ensure construction activities align with approved designs and client expectations.

Project Execution & Site Management

• Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.

• Supervise all on-site and off-site construction activities.

• Coordinate and direct site workers, subcontractors, and vendors.

• Review daily work progress and ensure adherence to project timelines.

• Select and procure tools, materials, and equipment while monitoring inventory levels.

• Ensure quality standards and proper construction techniques are consistently maintained.

Budgeting, Contracts & Commercial Management

• Develop and manage project budgets and cost forecasts.

• Monitor expenses and ensure projects remain within approved budgets.

• Negotiate terms of agreements and support contract drafting and administration.

• Ensure all contractual conditions of performance are met.

Regulatory Compliance & Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

• Monitor adherence to health and safety requirements and report any issues promptly.

• Liaise with government agencies and relevant authorities to secure licenses, approvals, and permits.

Risk Management & Reporting

• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on project progress and status.

• Produce internal and external reports for management, clients, and stakeholders.

• Escalate issues that may affect timelines, budgets, or quality.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented project leader with strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and a proven ability to deliver complex construction projects successfully.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in construction project management.

• Proven experience managing residential, commercial, or mixed-use construction projects.

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building regulations, and safety standards.

• Experience with budgeting, procurement, and contract administration.

• Proficiency in project management and design tools such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Professional certification such as Project Management Institute PMP, Nigerian Institute of Building, or Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria is an added advantage.
