JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a strategically minded, technically strong Regional HR Manager to oversee human resources operations across a dynamic, matrixed group structure in the South East region. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR leader with a deep background in the Construction and Civil Engineering sectors, who can comfortably navigate a shared-services/matrix environment
This role is for an HR partner who thrives in fast-paced, project-driven environments like construction. You are someone who loves numbers, excels at managing massive blue-collar and white-collar talent pipelines, and possesses the diplomacy needed to manage relationships across multiple corporate entities and group directors.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
• Strategic Growth & Workforce Scaling: Build HR infrastructure and talent pipelines for upcoming regional expansion.
• Total Performance & Productivity Management: Deploy performance management systems tailored to corporate and field staff.
• High-Volume Technical Talent Acquisition: Run end-to-end recruitment for white-collar engineers and site artisans.
• Strategic Manpower Planning & Analytics: Forecast site manpower needs while optimizing hiring speed and cost metrics.
• Multi-Entity Shared Services & Governance: Manage daily HR operations across ABC Ltd, JKL, and the XYZ branch.
• Group Matrix & Stakeholder Alignment: Align local operations with Group HR policies and Subsidiary MD priorities.
• Industrial Relations & Site Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Nigerian labor laws regarding casual and site workers.HR Intelligence & Data Analytics: Maintain precise headcount metrics and build Excel dashboards for leadership decision-making.
• Conflict Resolution & Employee Relations: Manage complex employee relations and grievances across office and field environments.
REQUIREMENT
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of progressive HR experience, with a mandatory minimum of 3 years within the Construction, Civil Engineering, or heavy infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record of managing high-volume recruitment and site-based workforce planning.
• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and HR data reporting.
• Deep, practical knowledge of Nigerian labor laws, specifically around contract staffing, artisan management, and casual labor.
• Must be based in the South East or fully willing to relocate to the region.
• CIPM certification or membership is highly preferred.
