• We are currently seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Matron (Registered Nurse) to join our healthcare team.
• The Matron will oversee the nursing unit and ensure smooth coordination of clinical activities within the healthcare facility.
• The ideal candidate will supervise nurses and other healthcare assistants while ensuring quality patient care and professional standards are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Nursing Supervision:
• Supervise and coordinate all nursing staff activities
• Ensure proper patient care and treatment procedures
• Monitor patients’ wellbeing and nursing standards
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient records
Staff Management:
• Assign duties and schedules to nurses and support staff
• Monitor staff punctuality, discipline, and performance
• Mentor and train junior nurses when necessary
• Ensure teamwork and proper communication among staff
Hospital Operations:
• Report directly to the Clinical Head
• Ensure smooth day-to-day clinical operations
• Maintain adequate nursing supplies and equipment
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
Infection Prevention & Safety:
• Ensure strict infection control measures are followed
• Monitor cleanliness and hygiene within the facility
• Ensure proper handling of medical waste and safety procedures
Patient Relations:
• Attend to patient complaints professionally
• Ensure patients receive quality and compassionate care
• Promote patient satisfaction and comfort
Administrative Duties:
• Prepare reports for management when required
• Monitor ward activities and nursing records
• Participate in hospital meetings and policy implementation
Requirements
• Must be a qualified Registered Nurse with a valid practicing license
• 2 – 4 years of Clinical Practice Experience
• Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare facility
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities
• Must be outspoken, proactive, and highly organized
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to coordinate nursing activities effectively
• Must be disciplined, professional, and patient-focused
• Ability to work closely with the Clinical Head and management team
• Good knowledge of hospital operations, patient care standards, and infection control practices
