Job Summary • The Partnership Manager, Corporate & Commercial Banking is responsible for originating, developing, and managing relationships with corporate clients to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth for the Bank.
• The role focuses on delivering value through the sales of the Bank’s assets, liabilities, cash management, and other financial solutions while ensuring profitability and sustainable business growth.
• The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding the Bank’s corporate and commercial banking portfolio through strategic relationship management, credit structuring, business development, and market penetration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manage prudently priced asset portfolios and cost-effective long-term liabilities from reputable corporate organisations to maximise profitability.
• Identify, build, and maintain a strong pipeline of profitable customers across targeted sectors and industries.
• Manage and deepen relationships with existing and prospective corporate clients through regular engagement, business visits, and strategic account management.
• Maintain high professional standards by delivering quality service and competitive financial solutions tailored to clients’ needs.
• Originate, maintain, and expand relationships within the corporate and public sector markets.
• Drive cross-selling of the Bank’s products and services to corporate and commercial banking customers.
• Implement customer retention and loyalty initiatives to strengthen market penetration and business growth.
• Monitor portfolio performance and ensure adherence to approved risk limits, compliance requirements, and delinquency management standards.
• Negotiate terms and conditions for credit facilities and prepare credit applications for corporate clients.
• Structure credit facilities to meet customer requirements while ensuring alignment with the Bank’s credit policies and risk framework.
• Prepare, review, and defend credit proposals before the Credit Committee.
• Review and authorise corporate banking credit applications prior to submission to Risk Management.
• Collaborate with operational and support teams to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain strong public relations with existing and prospective customers to enhance the Bank’s brand and reputation.
• Prepare and report marketing call activities and business development performance for the unit.
• Ensure strict compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• A postgraduate qualification or relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years’ banking experience in Corporate or Commercial Banking, particularly in sales and credit management.
• At least 6 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Accounting, Financial Analysis, Business Law, Trade Services, Leasing, Banking Operations, and Financial Advisory services.
• Good understanding of Credit Risk Management, credit policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on experience in Credit Analysis & Administration, Relationship Management, Product Development, Customer Service, and Corporate Banking operations.
• Strong understanding of economic trends and their impact on the banking and finance industry.
• Experience working with Public Sector clients will be an added advantage.
