Our client, a major player in the global oil and gas sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Offshore Oil & Gas Engineer to join their distinguished team. This role is integral to the planning, design, execution, and management of complex offshore exploration and production projects in Bauchi, Bauchi, NG . You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective development and operation of offshore facilities. This includes conducting feasibility studies, engineering design, risk assessments, and overseeing construction and installation phases. You will work with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to address the unique challenges of offshore environments. Key responsibilities involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including geoscientists, structural engineers, and marine operations specialists, to deliver projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of offshore engineering principles, relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, DNV), and a strong track record in managing large-scale offshore projects. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. You should be adept at managing contractors, stakeholders, and ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Responsibilities: Lead the engineering design and development of offshore oil and gas facilities. Oversee project execution, from concept to commissioning, ensuring safety and efficiency. Conduct detailed technical analysis, risk assessments, and feasibility studies for offshore projects. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and external contractors. Collaborate with geoscientists, marine operations, and other stakeholders to optimize project delivery. Implement and enforce stringent health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols. Monitor project progress, budget, and resource allocation, identifying and mitigating risks. Contribute to the continuous improvement of offshore engineering practices and technologies. Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation. Qualifications: Extensive experience as an Offshore Oil & Gas Engineer, with a focus on project management. Strong knowledge of offshore engineering principles, fluid dynamics, structural integrity, and subsea systems. Proficiency in relevant engineering software and simulation tools. Demonstrated experience managing large-scale offshore projects from conception to completion. In-depth understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., API, DNV). Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to manage complex technical challenges and drive results. Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
