Role Description:

They are seeking a full-time Revenue Assurance Officer to join her team. This is an on-site role based in Lagos.

The Revenue Assurance

Officer will be responsible for analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and identifying potential revenue leakages within the organization. Additional responsibilities include monitoring financial transactions, assisting with audit preparations, and providing actionable insights to strengthen financial processes. Role Responsibilities:
• Conduct monthly analysis of interest and non-interest income, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all fees, charges, and interest applied to customer accounts.
• Perform continuous reviews of income lines to identify revenue leakages, undercharges, excess charges, and system gaps.
• Champion initiatives that grow revenue through recovery of lost income and optimization of revenue streams.
• Conduct thorough investigations and audits arising from customer complaints and internal reviews.
• Identify excess charges or undercharges, validate findings, and recommend appropriate refunds or income recoupments.
• Ensure timely resolution of revenue-related complaints in line with customer experience and regulatory standards.
• Reduce revenue leakage through continuous oversight of revenue collection processes, working collaboratively with Operations, IT, Product, Risk, and Compliance teams.
• Implement control measures and monitoring mechanisms to prevent recurrence of identified issues.
• Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations, enhance process efficiency, and reduce costs associated with revenue processing.
• Prepare dashboards, variance analysis, and trend reports to support executive decision-making.
• Identify automation opportunities and control gaps within income recognition and billing processes.
• Champion the deployment, implementation, and completion of an income validation tool to enhance assurance over the Bank’s income and expense lines.
• Ensure effective use of revenue assurance systems for income tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance in all revenue-related operations and processes.
• Monitor and ensure strict compliance with approved Product Papers, pricing structures, and tariff guides.
• Escalate breaches and support remediation actions in line with regulatory requirements.
• Provide month-end revenue analysis and financial insights for inclusion in management reports.
• Prepare dashboards, variance analysis, and trend reports to support executive decision-making. Qualifications:

Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in Revenue Assurance, Finance, Audit, Risk, or Controls within a financial institution • Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is an added advantage Excellent understanding of banking products, pricing, and revenue streams Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting banking income High attention to detail and strong investigative skills Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with core banking systems and data analytics tools Strong communication, stakeholder management, and report-writing skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong knowledge of Finance and Financial Analysis

Proficiency in Accounting principles and practices

Understanding of Tax regulations and Tax Law

Analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies

Excellent communication and reporting skills

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

Experience in the banking or financial sector is an advantage

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
