Job Title: Head of Upstream Operations
Location: Lagos
Salary: ₦250,000–₦300,000
Work Mode: Full-time (Onsite)
Role Overview
Lead and oversee all upstream operations, engineering projects, and servicing activities. Ensure safe, efficient, and profitable operations while driving project delivery, operational excellence, asset integrity, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead upstream operations team (engineers, technicians, project managers).
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize production and efficiency.
• Manage engineering projects from planning to execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Supervise well servicing, production optimization, and maintenance.
• Monitor performance metrics and promote continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian Petroleum Regulations, safety, and environmental standards.
• Prepare/manage operational budgets and procure necessary resources.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, Electrical, or related); Master’s is a plus.
• Professional certifications (COREN, PMP, NSE, SPE, etc.) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NUPRC/DPR regulations and upstream industry standards.
• 2–4 years in upstream oil & gas operations, including ≥5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience in engineering project management, well operations, maintenance, and field servicing.
