Job Summary • The Quality Assurance Nurse is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care across the facility.
• The role focuses on monitoring clinical practices, enforcing compliance with healthcare standards and regulatory requirements, conducting audits, and supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• The incumbent collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to identify gaps, implement corrective actions, and promote best practices that enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct regular clinical and documentation audits to ensure compliance with established healthcare standards and policies.
• Monitor patient care practices and identify gaps or areas requiring quality improvement.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, accreditation, and infection prevention and control standards.
• Review incident reports, investigate variances, and support root cause analysis.
• Develop, implement, and track quality improvement initiatives and action plans.
• Provide guidance and training to clinical staff on quality and patient safety best practices.
• Maintain accurate quality assurance records, reports, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with department heads to drive continuous quality improvement across the facility.
• Participate in policy review and updates to align with current clinical and regulatory requirements.
• Support patient satisfaction monitoring and contribute to service improvement strategies.
Job Requirements
• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid practicing license.
• Minimum of 2–4 years’ clinical nursing experience; quality assurance or audit experience is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare quality standards, patient safety, and infection prevention and control practices.
• Familiarity with clinical audit processes, incident reporting, and quality improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic data analysis.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and report-writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with minimal supervision.
• Relevant certifications in Quality Assurance, Patient Safety, or Healthcare Quality (added advantage).
